the 2010 US Amateur 20 minutes away
at Chambers Bay also in Washington State.

In what turned out to be an "all Stanford" affair at the top of the leaderboard, Dodge led start to finish to prevail over David Chung and Sihwan Kim to secure the victory by 4 shots. Notwithstanding weather delays the first & last day of the championship for thunder, lightening & rain, the field scorched the former PGA Tour venue that had host pro & PGA Section Player of the Year (Kyle Flinton) shaking his head. It took red numbers just to earn points in the SPWAR with 2 par 5's playing as 500 yard par 4's. Resident star Kevin Tway of OSU finished 4th while 08 AJGA Player of the Year & US Junior Champ, Cameron Peck of WA grabbed the 5th spot. Low foreign player in a field representing 13 countries was "El Gato" or Armando Zarlenga of Argentina in the 6th spot. |
